In Assassin’s Creed® Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of the legendary mentor Altair, on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region. Dante's Inferno is an upcoming third-person action-adventure game to be published by Electronic Arts and in development by Visceral Games (formerly EA Redwood Shores). The game is very loosely based on Inferno, the first book of Dante Alighieri's epic poem, The Divine Comedy. The story of the game is written by Will Rokos, who wrote the film Monster's Ball. The game was produced by Justin Lambros and assistant produced by Zach Mumbach. The game has been touted as being very similar to the God of War games, in which there are light and heavy attacks as well as magic. Dante's primary weapon is a scythe, which he steals from Death, as seen in the opening preview of the game. He also has magical powers such as a holy cross (given to him by Beatrice before her death) which fires a burst of light that destroys anything in its path.

Have you read Ben Daniel’s article about franchise fatigue yet? If you haven’t, you should do that as soon as your done with this reviewtorial (patent pending!). By doing so, you’ll understand why I feel the way I do about this franchise. Don’t worry, it’ll all come together shortly!

8.0
The laws of diminishing returns have started to affect Assassin’s Creed, and while Revelations doesn’t quite live up to the promise of its subtitle, there’s still plenty to like about what may be Ezio Auditore’s final adventure.

Assassin's Creed Revelations Review

7.7
As solid the gameplay refinements are, this is a less daring entry than its revolutionary predecessors.

7.0
Revelations are in short supply in the latest Assassin's Creed, which spins both a less remarkable and refined tale than usual -- and simply feels like a bridge towards a more meaningful chapter.

8.0
Ezio and Altair make graceful exits in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, another great historical adventure.

Dante's Inferno - Reviews

6.1
based on 5 top critics

4.0
That Dante's Inferno is almost proudly derivative of Sony's God of War series isn't inherently a bad thing, but its lack of unique accomplishments makes for a hollow experience.

7.0
Dante's Inferno depicts a nightmarish vision of Hell.

6.5
Dante's epic quest loses momentum long before you reach the end.

5.4
EA takes on God of War with an epic action PS3/360 hack-n-slash set in hell.

7.5
Should you raise some hell with this action game?
