3D Dot Game Heroes - Overview
3D Dot Game Heroes (3Dドットゲームヒーローズ?) is a 2009 action-adventure video game developed by Silicon Studio and published by From Software in Japan, Atlus in North America and by SouthPeak Games in Europe. The game uses a unique style, presenting 2D, retro style graphics in a 3D environment. The game's gameplay strongly resembles that of retro 8-bit games of the past, particularly that of The Legend of Zelda. Players move characters from screen to screen exploring dungeons, battling enemies, collecting items and solving puzzles reminiscent of the classic games of past. When the player's health bar is full, the player's sword will grow to tremendous sizes whenever swung. Swords in game can be customized and leveled up to increase its length, girth as well as magical power, other special items that can also be used include boomerangs, lanterns, candles and bows.
Dungeon Defenders - Overview
An ancient evil has been unleashed on the land of Etheria, so it's up to you to defend it in this tower defense, co-operative action RPG! Create your own hero from one of four distinct classes to summon towers and traps and fight back hordes of enemies! Customize and level your hero by defeating enemies, looting equipment and upgrading your gear. Collect, train and trade a variety of pets with your friends. Take your character through multiple difficulty modes and challenge/survival missions to earn more experience and even better treasure. To top it off, you can do all of this with up to 4 friends on the same console (splitscreen) or over PSN! With the content of a full retail release and graphics powered by Unreal Engine 3, Dungeon Defenders is one of the true AAA downloadable titles available on PSN.
